YOUR ROLE

  • Registration of chemicals in the EU and other regions (REACH, Wassergefährdungsklasse, Biocides, … )
  • Participation / lead of product safety projects
  • Ecologocal product safety consulting for internal customers 
  • Expert evaluation of the safe use of chemicals as ingredients of Henkel products
  • Representing Henkel in national / European associations and in contact with regulatory agencies
  • Commission and monitor the conduct of standard guideline studies and tailored ecotoxicology and (bio)degradation studies these at Contract Research Organizations
  • Monitor emerging regulatory concerns in the environmental product safety arena, and propose potential solutions with an eye on the societal acceptance concerns 
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary scientific projects within and outside Henkel

YOUR SKILLS

  • M.Sc or Ph-D. degree (or equivalent) in e.g. ecotoxicology or in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences with a focus on ecotoxicology
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with thorough knowledge of the chemical safety relevant regulations (REACH, Biocide-directive, Wasserhaushaltgesetz)
  • Motivated to solve problems, and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • Solution minded approach to regulatory and product safety questions
  • Strong and convincing communicator, good team player
  • Good command of written and oral Englisch 
  • Sound proficiency in using conventional IT-tools 
  • Open for innovation and welcoming diverse ideas, methods, approaches
  • Willing to work in a multicultural environment together with colleagues from different regions of the globe
